I don't care how dead this section is =/
So, in browsing this board, it appears as though the entire RP section is about as dead as a zombie. It exists, but does not breathe, eat, sleep, or think. It merely shambles along.
So, let me be one to propose that an RP be made. I've been meaning to, with some friends, do a DnD RP with them (as in, over a table, with dice, and people strapped to their chairs so they don't launch from them to kill their DM) but have little experience as a DM/GM.
So, here's what I propose - I will lead a Campaign-style RP. Genre? Time Period? Main Enemy? The First two I leave up to you guys (Though I am very partial to medieval/modern fantasy styles. Or Steampunk)
I need to learn how to come up with stuff on the fly - So, let's see what the dwellers of the QR boards can toss at me.
Addendum: I would be running the NPCs, and creatures that may oppose the players, place obstacles - etc. TFs are not mandatory, but may, and I do mean may happen. I'd like to see an RP where a male character leaves it with his twig and berries still intact =P

It's not just the RP section. This whole forum is dead. Honestly, I sometimes wonder why I bother with it.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of typical fantasy settings. I prefer something with some tech in it.

Hence the option of Modern/Steampunk =p

There's a science fiction RP that has the initial setting post in place, but the person who said they were going to run it disappeared.

Mind dropping me a link to that post? I'm not a masive sci-fi fan (If it's in the future, I'm more likely to use a semi-futuristic place, such as those seen in I, Robot) but I'll see what I can do.

It was in fact planned to be a space going science-fantasy RP. The initial discussion was here. The first post is here.

I'll look over the OOC section a bit more on my upcoming break.

Looked over the RP (before it devolved to tying up Kiti with pink/grey ribbons) and It has potential, but I think I'd end up focusing more on singular worlds than space-travel. If one world proves that it cannot be helped/conquered anymore than it already is, then I'd have the plot move to another planet, but beyond taht, I don't see huge amounts of space travel taking place. With the various worlds thugh, various levels of tech can be used. One world could be decently advanced, another could have cavemen and dinosaurs for all we know. Really tall cavemen. And Cavewomen. With Leapord Skin Bikinis.

I don't know if that's sarcasm or encouragement

Ah, that's why I don't like text. No emotion.

Yeah. The tone of voice tags never seem to work right.

Me, I dick around with formatting to apply emotion. Applying emphasis or Sarcasm? Well, then of course I use italics. Try and drive a point home? Well, that's where bold comes in.
